Police found a nine-year-old girl after a stranger kidnapped her from the streets.
The girl was walking to school in Warnbo, south Perth, when the man picked her up at 8:45 a.m.
Officers responded to the scene when alerted to the incident and found the girl outside a supermarket in Port Kennedy a short time later, not far from the area.
A man in his 30s is in police custody.
He is helping the police with investigations.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
