The wife and nine-year-old daughter of a Californian news anchor who died in a motel last week because of a suspected overdose, paid him tribute on Friday during his funeral.
Chris Burrous, 43, died on December 27 after not responding to the Days Inn in Glendale.
Paramedics were called to the $ 93-per-night motel by another man who said he was with the father-of-one. The man, who was not identified, told 911 that Burrous might have been given an overdose, but it is not known what type of medicine he used.
The Coroner Office in Los Angeles County must not disclose his findings yet in his death.
