Channel Nine drama Amazing Grace will be canceled after just one season as the network announces programming for 2022
Amazing Grace is the latest drama series canceled by Channel Nine.
The network announced on Wednesday that the show would not be renewed for a second season as they revealed their 2022 lineup, reports TV Black Box.
The series, produced by Playmaker Media, stars Kate Jenkinson as Grace Cresswell, a midwife who works at a birth center and whose life becomes chaotic when her daughter, whom she gave up for adoption 17 years ago, shows up as a patient.

“Amazing Grace performed strongly for Channel 9, but we have decided that it will not return next year, our sincere thanks to the extremely talented cast and crew who have delivered a show that we are very proud of,” said a spokesperson for Nine .
“Today we announced two new Australian dramas, Underbelly: Vanishing Act and After The Verdict, which will go into production later this year, continuing our commitment to investing in Australian drama.”
Amazing Grace also featured Sigrid Thornton and Alex Dimitriades.

Its abolition marks the third Australian drama series not recently renewed by Nine; Seachange and Halifax: Retribution also ended after one season, pending announcements.
Nine has revamped the majority of their reality shows for their 2022 lineup, including the highly popular Married at First Sight.
In the new season, Puerto Rican sexologist Alessandra Rampolla and veteran experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling will return.

On Wednesday, Channel Nine announced that author and athlete Turia Pitt will join comedy radio duo Will and Woody as the first three celebrities to appear on the show.
Other programs set to appear on Nine’s lineup next year include The Block, Love Island Australia, Snackmasters, Lego Masters, The Hundred with Andy Lee, Magda Szubanski’s The Weakest Link, and Australian Ninja Warrior.
