Prolific socialite Nikki Haskell has lived many lives in her nearly eight decades – an entrepreneur, stockbroker, artist, real estate magnate and talk show host – just to name a few.

The 79-year-old American icon spoke exclusively to DailyMailTV about her long and distinguished life in the open, including her friendship with former President Donald Trump.

Haskell also spoke about her plans for her upcoming 80th birthday and unveiled her must-have accessory of the moment, an invention of her own design, the Star Shooterz Bluetooth Selfie Stick Mobile Phone Accessory Case.

Nikki was born in Chicago and grew up in chic Beverly Hills, California. “ The first day I started in 8th grade my dad drove me to school and he died that night so I was raised by my mom, she raised my brother and myself, ” she told DailyMailTV.

She attended Beverly Hills High School, the New York Institute of Finance and the Chicago Art Institute and worked as a film producer, artist, inventor and talk show host during her lifetime.

“When I was young, all my friends got married after high school,” Nikki recalls. So I got married and got divorced and I moved to New York, and I became a stockbroker. I was one of the first five female brokers in the world. ‘

“I was really, in my own way, fighting in the women’s trenches and when women burned their bras I worked at Drexel Burnham,” she said of her time at the now-defunct investment bank.

During her years in New York City, Nikki rubbed elbows with the wealthy of Manhattan, including Donald Trump, a friend she would later support as president.

“I met Donald in 1971,” said Nikki. Donald was just getting ready to build the Trump Tower. I did all the interviews with Donald at Trump Tower, in his apartment, in the office and it was great. It was fun. That footage has actually appeared in about 30 documentaries. ‘

Nikki had a special bond with Donald’s first wife, Ivana, and has remained so over the years, calling Ivana, Ivanka and Donald Trump “friends for life.”

Despite her relationship with the Trumps, Haskell surprisingly revealed that she was actually a supporter of Hillary Clinton for a short time.

“I really wanted Hillary to be president,” she explained, “because in my mind, I thought, wouldn’t it be great if we had a female president?”

Ultimately, Nikki publicly threw her support behind her longtime boyfriend, Donald Trump, in a move that caused waves in her social circle.

“ Then we all buried the hatchet, ” she said of the rifts her support of Trump caused with “ some of my friends who were very much against Donald or, you know, pro Hillary or whatever. ” Nikki added, “But, you know, it’s like everything else. People get over those things and they move on. ‘

“The reality is that I am an American citizen and I only want the best for my country and whoever the president is is my president,” she said of her political affiliation.

Perhaps Nikki’s most famous professional venture was hosting The Nikki Haskell Show, a hit local TV show in the early 1980s.

The series, which aired for six years, is the only television show filmed from Studio 54. Old episodes are currently available on Amazon Prime.

“ I’ve done a lot of fashion, done a lot of interviews, covered parties, ” Nikki explained on the talk show, adding that she’s ready to dip her toes back into television with a new project.

“It’s autobiographical-ish,” described her show. ‘A romantic comedy, set in the 60s and 70s. It is a cross between Sex and the City and the [Marvelous] Mrs. Maisel. ‘

“My new invention is the Star Shooterz,” Nikki told DailyMailTV. ‘It’s an iPhone case made for taking the perfect selfie, complete with selfie stick, lights and it stands upright so you can put your phone vertically or horizontally’

Her other big claim to fame was as the stars’ weight loss guru with her StarCaps, StarCruncher, NikkiBars and StarSuckers products and systems.

“My new invention is the Star Shooterz,” Nikki told DailyMailTV. “It’s an iPhone case made for taking the perfect selfie, complete with selfie stick, lights, and it stands upright so you can put your phone vertically or horizontally.”

The Star Shooterz is an all-in-one case for smartphone accessories with Bluetooth capabilities. The multi-functional design includes a built-in kickstand that’s perfect for pandemic-era Zoom sessions. The current model is designed for the iPhone 6, 7, 8 and SE, and X model cases will be rolled out next month.

“On my birthday, we’ll have a big launch at the Beverly Hills hotel for the new models on May 17,” Nikki said. “You know, I’m turning 80 and I’m proud of that.”

‘I’ve lived a thousand lives and still enjoy it. And that’s what’s important, ”she advised sharply. “You know, you can never give in, never give up, and never take no for an answer.”
