Nikki Glaser revealed the craziest and most controversial jokes she cut from her opening monologue at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday night.
As she pondered the line between comedy and mockery while poking fun at Hollywood’s biggest stars, the comedian, 40, shared a list of harsh jokes that didn’t make the cut during an interview with Howard Stern.
The jokes he didn’t end up telling on stage at the Beverly Hilton included takes on celebrities ranging from Ben Affleck to Alec Baldwin.
Additionally, she refrained from making a joke about Diddy, which she feared would make the audience “turn against her,” and a reference to Hitler that didn’t land on her “Gen Z assistant.”
While appearing on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show on January 6, Glaser read a list of jokes that he opted not to share on the main broadcast.

“The Golden Globes are the only show where you can see the biggest stars in film and television united with the same goal: to get out of here tonight before Dax Shepard asked them to do his podcast,” he began. “This is the last time you’ll all be in the same room together until Diddy’s trial.”
As for why he didn’t end up telling that particular joke, Glaser explained that he feared people in the room would feel like he was “accusing” them of being “involved” in his legal problems and would oppose the partnership.
Still, he ended up telling another eyebrow-raising Diddy joke, which involved Zendaya.
‘Zendaya is here. Zendaya, you were amazing in Dune. OMG I woke up to all your scenes. You were so good. And the Challengers, girl? It was so good. I mean, that movie was more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card,’ he joked. ‘Oh, I’m upset too. The after party won’t be good this year. But we have to move forward. A crazy Stanley Tucci just doesn’t sound the same. This year there will be no baby oil, just a lot of olive oil.
Another who didn’t make the cut alluded to Luigi Mangioni, who has been charged with murder in the slaying of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Glaser intended to make the following joke: “Glen Powell is nominated tonight for Hit Man.” Who would have thought that by the end of the year you would be only the second most popular hitman in America?
The artist also refrained from making jokes about pedophiles in the Catholic Church.
“We’ve all heard them, we don’t need any more of that,” he said of the next joke.

The jokes he didn’t end up telling onstage at the Beverly Hilton included takes on celebrities ranging from Ben Affleck to Alec Baldwin; Seen at the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards.
Before deciding not to go in that direction, he said he almost told this joke: ‘I loved Conclave. It is about electing a new Pope. It was moving. It will touch you so much that the church will have to move it to another theater. Good tip: you don’t need identification to enter the Conclave after the party.’
Glaser also refrained from making a joke, in which he referred to Adrien Brody as a “two-time Holocaust survivor” for starring in two Holocaust films (The Pianist and The Brutalist) that would “thank baby Hitler for his career.”
Another joke that wasn’t told was: ‘Only Murders in the Building is amazing.’ I think it’s great that legends like Steve Martin, Martin Short and Meryl Streep continue to do it. It just goes to show that you are never too old to still need money. Why do you keep working so hard? What is happening? Did you get caught up in Hawk Tuah’s crypto scheme?
Perhaps one of the funniest included an attack on Ben Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
Although he still made another joke at Affleck’s expense, he deleted this one: “Here’s Ben Affleck.” I can’t wait to see which Jennifer you try to ruin next.

Another joke he didn’t tell was, “The Wild Robot is nominated tonight.” And by this I mean Nicole Kidman after two white wines.
She was also on the fence about making fun of Amy Adams, but ended up deciding against it.
Glaser revealed that she meant: “Amy Adams is nominated for her performance in Night Bitch, while I was totally snubbed for my performance in Day Slut.” The documentary category is a tough one, although by the way, Night Bitch is what Diddy listens to every night before the lights go out.

Glaser also deleted one about Alec Baldwin and the Rust incident, which left Hannah Gutierrez-Reed saying she was “too mean.”
The comedian said she almost said, “Michael Keaton was so great in Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice and Alec Baldwin, unfortunately he didn’t come back to play a ghost because he was too busy doing them.”
The last thing he said was: ‘To sound like Bob Dylan, Timothée Chalamet took years of singing lessons because, apparently, that’s how long it takes to learn to smoke 40,000 cigarettes.’ Timothée took guitar, dialect movement, and voice lessons to become Bob Dylan, while Bob Dylan became Bob Dylan the old-fashioned way: heroin and autism. Undiagnosed, but come on, a lot of songs about trains.
