Horrifying footage captured the moment the New Orleans terror suspect maneuvered around a police barricade and pushed his way through the unsuspecting crowd.

Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen, drove a rented truck brandishing an ISIS flag into the crowd on Bourbon Street Wednesday morning, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens.

Shocking new surveillance images obtained by fox 8 It showed Jabbar driving the white Ford F-150 Lightning EV down Canal Street.

The truck turned onto Bourbon Street, maneuvered alongside a NOLA Police Department vehicle and then crashed into a crowd of pedestrians.

After mowing down the revelers, he got out of the car and started shooting, before the police shot him. The ordeal is being investigated as a terrorist attack.

The electric truck is a particularly lethal weapon with its great height and weight and its ability to go from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

New Orleans police said mechanical barricades set up at the intersection were malfunctioning and placed other barriers and police cars on parts of Bourbon Street for the holiday.

‘We knew these were malfunctioning. “So we had a plan, but the terrorist thwarted it,” police superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said.

‘This particular terrorist drove onto the sidewalk and avoided the tough target. “We had a car there, we had barriers there, we had officers there and they still moved.”

Authorities confirmed that Jabbar had placed an ISIS flag on the truck he used to push his way through the crowd.

“An ISIS flag was located on the vehicle and the FBI is working to determine the subject’s possible associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations,” the FBI said.

Jabbar, who the FBI says did not work alone on the horrific attack, grew up in Texas and served in the US military.

Firearms and pipe bombs were also found in the vehicle, according to a Louisiana State Police intelligence bulletin obtained by The Associated Press.

The devices, which were hidden inside refrigerators, were wired for remote detonation, according to the bulletin, and a corresponding remote control was discovered inside the vehicle.

The FBI said other possible explosive devices were also located in the French Quarter.

According to the intelligence bulletin, surveillance footage captured three men and a woman placing one of multiple improvised explosive devices.

Jabbar rented the electric vehicle through the Turo app, a car-sharing company, registered to a 42-year-old Houston man.
