The former Pussycat Dolls singer, 46, is now starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s reimagined version of Sunset Boulevard on Broadway, which has earned rave reviews.

But social media video from 2008 showed her filming the music video for her band’s hit When I Grow Up, in front of Broadway theaters in New York.

With a fresh face, she says in the clip: “It’s crazy because when I was a little girl I thought I’d be doing that, that I’d be on that side of the street, not this side of the street.”

‘But one day I will return home and to the stage, I miss it…’

The video then showed clips of her on the Sunset Boulevard stage and getting ready behind the scenes, illustrating how she had achieved it.

Nicole plays fading star Norma Desmond in the Broadway musical, who dreams of a comeback and enlists the help of a struggling screenwriter.

It is based on the 1950 film of the same name and first premiered in London’s West End in 1993, starring Patti Lupone as Norma Desmond, with Glenn Close starring in the 1994 Broadway run.

Close also returned for the 2016 West End revival and the 2017 Broadway revival, although Scherzinger starred in the 2023 West End revival.

She took home the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical, and after a successful run (grossing $1 million in its first week), the show officially premiered in October at the St. James Theatre.

Nicole has received numerous standing ovations during her Broadway debut so far, including one, according to Peoplewhich lasted a whopping six minutes.

Last year it was reported that Theater bosses hired award-winning movement director Ingrid Mackinnon to help prepare Nicole for her intimate scenes with co-star Tom Francis, according to the sun.

A source from the show told the publication: ‘Intimacy coordinators are mandatory now because actors need to feel safe with their co-stars.

“In the past, people were taken advantage of and actors crossed boundaries on stage.

Despite her acclaimed performances, Nicole was recently booed at the end of one of her acclaimed Broadway performances after her support for Donald Trump was revealed.

New York City audiences let their feelings be known when the leading lady bowed to the crowd after her performance as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard earlier this month.

While most in the room cheered, some boos were also heard, days after Nicole’s MAGA leanings became public.

Scherzinger, who has a history of baffling political takeovers, took two hits. He complimented Russell Brand on a Christian MAGA-inspired hat and liked a post by Robert F Kennedy Jr. praising the Trump administration.

She later broke her silence about the furor and took to her Instagram Story to apologize in a word salad.

It did nothing to quell the anger of progressives furious at Scherzinger for holding different beliefs than theirs, and some MAGA fans were also irritated by his apparent change of course.

Nicole recently admitted that despite her success in theater, she initially felt “discarded” by the industry after her pop career.

Nicole recently admitted that despite her success in theater, she initially felt “discarded” by the industry after her pop career.

She told People: ‘I’m (46) years old. I have never been stronger, physically, mentally and emotionally. I’m at my best. There is no better time to create work that is meaningful in this world.

‘That’s the tragedy: that you are in the best place of your life. You’re so full, you have so much to give, and people have written you off, fired you, and said, ‘Your time is up…’

Nicole then insisted her “lifelong dream” has been to make it to The Great White Way, which comes after appearances on shows including Cats and Rent since her pop heyday.
