Nicole Richie is celebrating the birth of her younger sister Sofia Richie’s first child.
On Friday it was revealed that Sofia, 25, and her husband Elliott Grainge, 30, had welcomed a daughter, named Eloise Samantha Grainge, on May 20.
Nicole, whose own children recently made their red carpet debut alongside her, was quick to comment on Sofia’s birth announcement on Instagram.
‘Now I have a new favorite EG. “Sorry Elliot,” the Simple Life star, 42, wrote about his new niece.
Nicole is the eldest of music legend Lionel Richie’s three children. He and his ex-wife Brenda Harvey adopted Nicole when she was nine years old.
After splitting from Brenda in 1993, Lionel married and had two children, Sofia and her brother Miles, 29, with his now ex Diane Alexander.

Sofia announced Eloise’s birth on Friday by posting a photo of Emma Bassill where she and Elliot were seen holding their baby’s feet.
“Eloise Samantha Grainge 5•20•24 best day of my life,” the caption read. Vanessa Lachey and Paris Jackson hit the like button.
Sofia and Elliot had known each other for several years before starting dating in early 2021.
They got engaged in 2022 and married in 2023.
Their April 2022 wedding was lavish with a star-studded ceremony that took place in the south of France.
Sofía revealed her pregnancy to the public during an interview with Fashion which was published in January.
He also said he would welcome a baby girl.
