Nicole Kidman’s adopted daughter, Bella Kidman Cruise, made a rare appearance on social media on Monday.

The artist, 30, posted an image of herself in a white dress that exposed her arms and showed off her many tattoos as she looked into the camera.

Bella, who was adopted by Nicole and her then-husband Tom Cruise in 1992, captioned the image: “what a summer.”

Bella and her brother Connor (born 1995) have both endured a strained relationship with the To Die For actress over the years.

However, Nicole, 56, hopes all of her children will be there when she receives the Life Achievement Award at the American Film Institute (AFI) ceremony.

Billed by the institute as “America’s highest honor for a film career”, Nicole will be the first Australian actor to receive the nod.

The Oscar winner hopes to have all of her children in attendance, including her two adopted children with ex-husband Tom.
