Even in quarantine, Nicole Kidman is still one of the most in-demand actors in Hollywood and she just got a big new role on Amazon.
The 52-year-old Oscar winner will shine according to the star and produce a new thriller for the streaming network Variety on Thursday.
Pretty Things, an adaptation of Janelle Brown’s upcoming eponymous novel, is slated to be produced under the actress’s production company Blossom Films.

“The streaming giant won the rights to the novel in what sources describe as a very competitive situation with multiple bidders in the race,” Variety reported.
Brown’s long-awaited thriller will be adapted for the screen well in advance of its planned release on April 21.
Kidman will play one of two main roles, although it is not clear which one, according to the report.
A summary of the novel reads: “Two completely different women – one a wanderer, the other an heiress – are brought together by the scam of a lifetime”

Due to the current global coronavirus pandemic, Kidman’s latest project, HBO’s The Undoing, was pushed back by the premium cable network.
Also based on a novel, Kidman plays opposite Hugh Grant as an uppercrust Manhattan couple whose life is turned upside down by ‘a violent death and a chain of terrible revelations’.
The limited series would debut in May, but HBO recently announced it would be delayed to an undetermined date in the fall.
