In a resurfaced interview, Nicole admitted she wanted to travel the world as a teenager before realizing how much she wanted to return to Australia.

“It’s where I grew up, it’s my childhood,” Nicole said on The Ray Martin Show in 2001.

The Aussie superstars have shelled out nearly $60 million on properties now believed to be worth $282 million, according to realestate.com.au.

Their acquisitions include six apartments in a single building in Sydney alone, where the couple host an annual New Year’s Eve party.

They also bought an idyllic farm called Bunya Hill in the Southern Highlands village of Sutton Forrest in 2008 for $6.5 million.

The couple also owns properties in Nashville, Los Angeles and New York, having made their homes around the world.
