The actress spoke in an emotional speech while accepting the International Star Award from Jamie Lee Curtis.
Nicole thanked her parents for teaching her resilience and giving her the “love and strength” she needed to move forward in life.
Accepting his award on stage at the Palm Springs Convention Center, he said, “I went home for Christmas. I lost my parents and I’m in that place, like, okay, this is different now.
“They have given me resilience, they have given me love and they have given me the strength to move forward.”
