Nicola Coughlan will follow in the footsteps of Nicole Kidman and Jenna Ortega after landing a six-figure beauty deal with a popular skincare brand.

The Irish star will front a new campaign for Neutrogena following a string of high-profile TV roles, notably Derry Girls and Netflix’s riotous period drama Bridgerton.

The brand has previously hired Hollywood stars Kidman and Ortega to promote its wide range of skincare products.

And Coughlan, 38, who has already shot her first Neutrogena ad campaign, will join the growing army of celebrity ambassadors for Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand, SKIMS.

A source said the sun: ‘Nicola has filmed her campaign for Neutrogena and is delighted to be on board with them.

“The deal is worth six figures, which is a huge payday for Nic heading into 2025. Away from Bridgerton, Nicola has become a huge star in her own right.

“Getting Kim enrolled at SKIMS was instrumental for Nicola in building her resume and when Neutrogena came knocking, she jumped at the chance.”

The Irish star was introduced as a SKIMS celebrity model last June after starring in a stylish promotional shoot for the Kim Kardashian-owned brand.

The last seven years have been a whirlwind for Nicola after being cast as Claire Devlin in BBC hit Derry Girls. which brought her to national fame in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

From there, she was chosen to play Lady Penelope Featherington in the smash hit Bridgerton, a role that put her on the international stage.

During a special Q&A session in Dublin last June, a journalist commented that she was “very brave” to take on the role, which some fans called a “backhanded comment.”

She joked: ‘You know, it’s hard because I think women with my body type (women with perfect breasts) can’t see ourselves enough on screen.

‘And I am very proud as a member of the perfect breasts community. I hope you enjoy watching them.’

It has been a long journey to the top for Nicola, who worked in an optician while living with her parents, bouncing between Galway and London, where she worked as an actress for decades.

“I was 31 when Derry Girls happened,” she told Marie Claire. It’s important for people to know that I wasn’t an overnight success.

‘When I was twenty, I didn’t have the money to live in London and go to a million auditions. I had to work full time and it was difficult.

“I left London a couple of times (and moved home), because it just wasn’t happening.”

The Irish actress is often seen sitting front row at Fashion Week shows, where she befriended many celebrities, landed starring roles and topped several best-dressed lists thanks to her work with stylist Aimée Croysdill.
