But fans of the Netflix sensation will be devastated when Nicola Coughlan, 37, finally confirmed her romance with actor Jake Dunn, 24.
The couple were seen hand in hand returning home after a romantic night out in London on Wednesday night.
Jake, who stars in Channel 4 series Big Boys, took off his baseball cap and placed it on Nicola’s head to hide her from prying eyes as they walked together with their fingers intertwined.
Meanwhile, the Derry Girls star wore a navy blue summer dress with a loose cardigan around her shoulders as she lovingly kissed her boyfriend’s hand.

Friends of the couple told MailOnline that Louisa Harland, who starred alongside Nicola in Derry Girls, played matchmaker and introduced the couple after meeting Jake while filming her latest series, Renegade Nell.
The couple was first seen together in March when posing for an Instagram Story shared by one of Jake’s Renegade Nell co-stars.
In August, the couple was seen at London’s All Points East festival holding each other while dancing, but their relationship was not confirmed.
But they have since been spotted together on several occasions, including playing scrabble in pubs around Nicola’s home in Stoke Newington, north London.
Jake is from London, while Nicola is originally from Galway in Ireland, but has lived in the capital since 2016 in search of more acting opportunities, but previously spoke about how lonely she felt.
She said: ‘I had the worst time of my life. It stunk a lot. I found it difficult… I felt so alone when I moved.

Nicola shared a snap of the daybed the couple filmed on before revealing she and Luke managed to break the piece of furniture with their antics.
‘The second part is now available. We put our heart and soul into it. I hope you love watching it as much as we loved filming it. #PolinForever,” he captioned the photos.
Behind-the-scenes Insta snaps showed Nicola and Luke giving the camera a thumbs up as they posed with the damaged daybed.
Nicola, known for her role as Penelope Featherington in Netflix hit Bridgerton, took center stage last season with Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton.
Jake recently played Thomas Blancheford in the Disney+ series Renegade Nell (pictured) and also appeared in The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself.
Nicola previously revealed: “I think we’ve got the sass out of this series!” while joking that she and Luke had damaged the set with their on-screen games.
She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘We broke a piece of furniture while doing a scene. It’s a bit of a gimmick where they say, ‘Okay, we’ll do this, this, and this.’
“But then they gave us freedom and we had a lot of say in how we did those scenes and what we wanted to do. That makes you feel quite empowered.
‘So we feel great. In fact, they were really nice. I didn’t think they would be. It was fun.’
