Former Neighbors star Nicola Charles has made another great accusation about her time on the iconic soap.
The actress, 51, claimed she once came to the aid of a female co-star who overdosed on speed before being offered the drug herself, in her autobiography Soap Star.
Nicola, who played Sarah Beaumont in Neighbors for two stints in the 1990s and 2010, wrote that she once found an unnamed co-star “barely aware and struggling” in the green room after apparently ingesting amphetamines.

“The human in me couldn’t leave her there alone on the couch, barely conscious and struggling. Her so-called friends in the cast had conveniently disappeared and washed their hands of the situation,” wrote the British-born star, who now lives in Melbourne.
“As I held the frail and thin hand of an actress on the couch in the green room, waiting for the ambulance, I couldn’t help but sympathize with her,” Nicola continued.
“The paramedics came and took her. But the saddest part of the whole thing was the next day.’

The model then claimed that she herself had been given drugs from the same woman she had previously helped.
Charles wrote that she ran into the woman in the toilets the next day.
“Maybe what she said next was a nod to the help I had given her the day before, maybe it was offering a secret she felt she had to help me keep my weight down, or maybe it was my some chance of being indoctrinated to the secret actress club, but she offered me speed,” the author claimed.

“As she did so, a trickle of blood fell from one of her nostrils. As she struggled to hide it, I politely declined.’
Nicola claimed the alleged events took place in the late 1990s. Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.
The soap actress appeared on and off in Neighbors between 1996 and 2016.
It’s not the first time the mother-of-three has slammed her former workplace.
In April, Charles made explosive accusations against her former castmates after she claimed they once tried to get her evicted from Australia.
The star claims that before trying to kick her out of the country, the cast also openly victimized her for being a former model, rather than a serious actor.

“They said ‘f***ing MTA’ under my breath and as I walked past the scenes,” she said. News Corp.
‘For a long time I didn’t know what ‘MTA’ meant… finally I found out that the ‘model turned actor’.
“Then I started thinking, ‘Okay, they don’t see me as a real actor, even though I went to drama school in the UK,” she continued.
Nicola has also claimed that her Neighbors castmates tried to deport her from Australia.

Nicola claims in her autobiography Soap Star, now available, that she found a handwritten letter sent to Immigration shortly after her six-month probation ended in 1996.
While she didn’t identify the cast members in question, Nicola was stunned that someone would go to such lengths to make her lose her job.
“I knew who they were, the individuals who did it, but I thought – who goes that far, and what have I done that I hated so much?” she wrote, in an excerpt published by the Herald Sun in April.
