Nico Hoerner was ejected from the White Sox on Wednesday.Puppies game after the home plate umpire ejected him for arguing a strike call.
Hoerner appeared to yell something like “That’s not even close” to the home plate umpire. He wasn’t having it, as he ejected Hoerner instantly, prompting manager Craig Counsell to run off.
Nothing happened afterward except that the Cubs were without their starting second baseman. He did not record a hit in Crosstown’s first game, but had an RBI in the second game before being ejected.
