And on Thursday, following the launch of Beyoncé’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, angry members of the 42-year-old singer’s fandom, known as the Beyhive, flocked to X (formerly known as Twitter) to criticize the museum’s attempt to create a life-size replica of the 32-time Grammy winner.
“Don’t get me wrong, the wax figure is pretty, but honey, that’s not BEYONCE,” one wrote. “I need you to take a real photo of her or take her there while you do it.”
A handful of social media users criticized the wax figure for looking more like Leah Remini, 53, Tyra Banks, 50, or Rihanna, 35, than the mother of three.

Still, some noted that progress has been made compared to the artist’s other wax figures.
“I mean the new Beyoncé wax figure looks better than the last one so give credit where it’s due,” one person said among all the complaints.
In 2017, a wax figure of the singer was removed for appearing “bleached.”
At the time, many compared the statue to looking like Taylor Swift.

After “briefly taking it off the floor” to “adjust it,” TMZ reported that it returned to the museum after it was altered to more closely match Beyonce’s skin tone.
Madame Tussauds New York issued a statement saying: “We love, respect and enjoy a working relationship with Beyoncé… We have adjusted the styling and lighting of her figure, and she is (back) on display.”
Over the years, Madame Tussauds has a history of disappointing Beyoncé fans, starting with the Tussaud’s London location in 2004.
