Nicki Minaj Teams Up With 50 Cent As An Executive Producer And Star In The New Animated TV Series Lady Danger For Freevee
Rapper Nicki Minaj ventures into the comics and animation world with the new TV series Lady Danger.
According to a new report from deadline.
The series is an adaptation of the two-part comic book series that debuted in 2015 with Dark Horse Comics, created by Alex de Campi with illustrations by Mulele Jarvis and John Lucas.
The rapper will voice and executive produce the title character alongside Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson through his G-Unit Film & TV company.
The news comes just weeks after Minaj scored back-to-back No. 1 singles on the Hot Rap Songs charts.

The character was introduced in Alex de Campi’s series Grindhouse: Drive In, Bleed Out, with a two-part arc released in 2015.
Set in the year 2075, the series follows a government field agent who is left for dead by her team after discovering a dangerous secret.
She is eventually brought back to life as Lady Danger, described as an ‘afrofuturistic a**-kicking agent of BOOTI (Bureau of Organized Terrorism Intervention).
The secret agent must hide her true identity as she battles the villains who destroy the Earth and its fragile inhabitants.
Carlton Jordan and Crystle Roberson will write the series and serve as executive producers on the series alongside Minaj and 50 Cent.
Also executive producing are Brian Sher, and Paul Young & Mike Griffin for Make Good Content, with Starburns Industries as the animation studio.
This will be Minaj’s first major film or TV project since he voiced Pinky in The Angry Birds Movie 2 in 2019.
She also voiced Sugilite in three episodes of the Steven Universe animated series between 2014 and 2016.

She also appeared in live action movies such as Barbershop: The Last Cut and The Other Woman, along with a slew of music videos.
Minaj comes from her hit Red Ruby Da Sleeze, her first solo hit of 2023.
The song marked back-to-back No. 1 hits, following her Super Freaky Girl, which topped the Hot Rap Songs chart for 11 weeks.
Ruby’s rise to the top of the chart was primarily driven by sheer sales of about 41,000 in its first week, which is the most a hip-hop song has scored this year.
Among all music genres, it is second only to Miley Cyrus’ song Flowers, which scored a whopping 70,000 copies.
Super Freaky Girl, which samples the late funk rocker Rick James’s 1981 hit Super Freak, was released last August as the lead single to promote NM5 and quickly became Minaj’s third number one in the US and her first non- guided number one.
It eventually topped the Hot Rap Songs chart for 11 weeks in 2022, en route to becoming one of the biggest songs of the year.
It also made music history by becoming the first female solo rapper with a number one Hot 100 debut since Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1997.
