Elsewhere, it was rumored that Nick got into trouble with BBC bosses after appearing in a Shreddies commercial and threatening his 22-year tenure on DIY SOS.
But despite the company reportedly violating BBC bosses’ strict advertising rules, the company appears to have reversed its stance.
Nick told The Sun: “I’ve always said DIY SOS is more than just a presentation job for me, it’s part of me.
“It’s in my heart and working for the BBC for over 22 years is something I’ve never taken for granted.
“I will continue filming new episodes of DIY SOS in the coming months and will be on your screens again next year wearing the purple shirts.”
At crunch Zoom meetings in April, Nick was told by the company’s bosses to either pull the ad off the air or stop the show that helped launch his career.

But the presenter, who has disappeared from the BBC’s top earners list in recent years and recently signed up for a new DIY show on Channel 5, still ran the 30-second ad at the top of his personal website.
MailOnline understood at the time that the problem is the similarity between Knowles’ character in the ad and his role as the presenter of DIY SOS – and whether it is breaking a rule that prohibits stars from replicating their BBC roles in commercials.
The broadcaster’s strict rules state that all promotions involving on-screen talent must not imitate BBC content, refer to or have any affiliation with or ‘pass on’.
