Nick Kamen left £1.6 million in his estate after his death from bone marrow cancer at age 59.
The former Levi’s model, who gained worldwide fame through his 1980s ads with the brand, named his partner, Lucinda Cary, as the “life tenant” of the couple’s west London flat, according to probate documents obtained by MailOnline.
Nick died in his £1 million flat in Notting Hill in May 2021 after secretly battling bone marrow cancer for four years.

Nick’s sisters and brothers were named among the beneficiaries of the trust fund, while The Imperial Health Charity was awarded the publishing and performing rights for his song Part.
All rights to Nick’s other material were given the publishing and performance rights for his song Part and the rights to all other material went to administrators.
Nick suffered from cancer for four years and was cared for by his girlfriend, Lucinda, before his death, according to his older brother, Ronald Kamen.

Ronald told MailOnline: ‘His breathing was very shallow and he knew what was coming. He fought very hard against it. I was with him a few days ago.
“We’ve been able to see him because of the pandemic, but only one at a time. That made it a lot worse, but he had the cancer before all the lockdowns.”
The ’80s pin-up was best known for his starring role in a 1985 Levis 501 commercial, in which he famously undressed in a laundromat — boosting sales of the jeans by 500 percent as demand mismatched supply. .
The ad turned him into a sex symbol and caught the eye of Madonna, who sent him a song she co-wrote with Stephen Bray. The pair then teamed up for Every Time You Break my Heart.

Kamen dated famous women including actress Talisa Soto and supermodel Tatjana Patitz. He began a much-discussed romance with TV host Amanda de Cadenet from 1999 to 2001, after which he assumed a lower profile and was rarely seen in public.
The star’s brother, Barry Kamen, was himself a famous model and stylist who fronted the 80s youth culture in Buffalo. He died on October 4, 2015 at the age of 52 following a heart attack.

The ad, which was directed by Roger Lyons, led to a huge boost in sales for Levi and featured in a countdown of the 100 greatest ads of all time.
It caught the attention of many – including Madonna – who reached out to Kamen, leading to their collaboration, when she sent him a song she wrote with Stephen Bray.
They joined forces on the track and he became her protégé.

Kamen’s second single, Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever, a cover of the 1966 hit by the Four Tops, was less successful, reaching number 16.
In a BBC radio interview in 1986, Madonna said she was inspired by Kamen’s “charisma” and “beautiful voice,” which prompted her to contact him.
After they became acquainted, Madonna offered to write and produce the song Each Time You Break My Heart, where she also makes a cameo, singing background vocals in the bridge of the song towards the end.
