Nick Cannon says he’s ‘failed miserably so many times at monogamy and relationships’
Nick Cannon opened up in a new interview about how he sees his love life, monogamy, relationships and his chances of getting married again.
Cannon, 41, spoke on the podcast’s first episode All the way with Shelley Wade Sunday, who says he is not against the concept of marriage, but that he has had challenges in his personal life that have made it unfeasible.
“I’m a hopeless romantic at the end of the day, so I love the concept, I love the ceremony of it,” said the Masked Singer’s personality. “I’ve failed miserably in monogamy and relationships so many times, but God isn’t done with me yet. We’ll figure it out.’
The latest: Nick Cannon, 41, opened up how he sees his love life, monogamy, relationships and his chances of remarrying in a new interview on the All the Way podcast with Shelley Wade Sunday. He was caught at an event in LA on Saturday
The San Diego, California native said he continues to grow as a person and as such, he wouldn’t rule out getting married again.
“I think as I grow, I’ve probably had a few midlife crises in my life,” Cannon said. “I like the man I grew up with and I feel like someone who understands me and stands behind me.”
Cannon said “acts of service” appeals to him personally, adding that “it’s more about service and that sense of someone you can serve each other and where you’re weak, they’re strong.
“And if I can ever find someone who can hold me through all my madness, through all my chaos and toxicity, that’s probably someone I can rock with forever.”

The interview came more than a month after Cannon appeared on the podcast It’s hard with Raquel Harpersaid he was resistant to the concept of conventional marriage.
He added: “It depends on what you call the marriage – getting the government involved, no – we can have a ceremony somewhere.”
Cannon wondered why the ‘government’ [should] being involved in your love life,” saying it “seems so bizarre to him.”
Cannon was previously in an eight-year marriage to singer Mariah Carey, 53, between 2008 and 2016, and the former couple share twins Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, 11.
He called the marriage “one of the greatest experiences of” [his] life,” noting that since that “also came to an end,” it made him more skeptical about remarrying.
Cannon said when looking at a potential mate, ‘service’ resonates with him
Cannon is reportedly expecting his eighth and ninth children later this year
“Why go back if I couldn’t do it right?” he said. “Once I’ve given my all to a screenplay, I’d have to be presented with something I’ve never seen before in order to go back to something like that.
“I’ve done my best in this space, and now I feel like there’s a new journey in my life. I’m not going to backtrack and put myself in that situation again, because it doesn’t get any better.’
In the podcast, Cannon said he didn’t “subscribe to…the traditional sense of monogamy.”
In addition to his twins with Carey, Cannon is father to five other children: Golden, five, and Powerful, 18 months with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, single, with Abby De La Rosa; and the late son Zen, who tragically died of brain cancer last December, with Alyssa Scott.
Last January, he announced that he and model Bre Tiesi are expecting a baby. Sources told TMZ earlier this month that Cannon and De La Rosa are expecting another child this fall.
