Nick Cannon denies he ‘fumbled’ marriage to ex-wife Mariah Carey as he defends their relationship’s demise
Nick Cannon faced his past marriage to Mariah Carey his radio show The Daily Cannon on Wednesday, defending himself when asked about the end of the union.
The 42-year-old San Diego, California resident was chatting with cohost Courtney Bee Bledsoe, who at one point told him, “I mean, you made fun of Mariah.”
Cannon replied, “Did I do that?” Explain to me how I fooled Mariah.’
Bledsoe said she was “playing” and commented, “I don’t know — I just know you’re not with her, so that’s a fumble.”
The host of Masked Singer replied, “Maybe she’s made fun of me, to which Bledsoe said, ‘You didn’t make Always Be My Baby like that… it’s a little different,’ referring to her 1996 song.”

Cannon made his comments Wednesday on his new radio show The Daily Cannon
He said he often gets backlash from Carey’s fans when he comments on the past relationship.
“I mean, that’s what I always talk about; then it goes viral and all her fans get mad at me,” he said.
Cannon said in the interview that he had been attracted to the singer for a long time, dating back to before his teenage years.
“I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall, and that’s going to be my wife,” he said. And the fact that she’s the coolest person I’ve ever met. She’s just always cheerful, always busy with others.’
He added, “No matter what happens in life. I’m like, “Wow, a person can really work like that and not allow negative energy into their space.” When I found out how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She’s a gift from God.’
