Succession star Nicholas Brown reveals the major TV role he was turned down for:

Nicholas Brown revealed Monday that he was turned away from his role in the comedy-drama Ugly Betty when he tried it out several years ago.

The succession star, 34, admitted that in 2009 he auditioned for the role of a clown in a medieval restaurant but failed to impress the panel.

You’ve rented a clown costume and wrapped it up in little clown shoes. I went for it but didn’t get the role,” he admitted Kyle and Jackie Oh Shaw.

He then said he watched the episode later when it came out and answered “no” when asked by Jackie or if the actor doing the show did a good job instead.

‘I was blown away that I really went for it,’ he said.

Nicholas Brown (pictured) revealed on Monday that he was fired for his role in the comedy-drama Ugly Betty when he tried it out several years ago.

Kyle then joked that he should visit Ugly Betty star America Ferrara to show her what he missed on the show by not being cast.

“Yeah, I go to her house a lot,” Nicholas joked.

The New York native is currently in Australia promoting the fourth and final season of his hit drama series, Succession.

Earlier this month, he hit back after his embarrassing interview on Australia’s The Sunday Project made headlines around the world.

The actor was promoting the final season of his hit series Succession and launched into a long story about meeting Quentin Tarantino at the end of his five-minute interview – only to be cut off mid-sentence by the show’s hosts.

Brown indicated that he was asked to tell the story, then told seconds later that he had run out of time.

He said, “I had this guy yelling in my ear that there was a minute left and all that stuff and then they told me to do a Quentin Tarantino story.” The Daily Telegraph.

‘I must have only 20 seconds left. The 34-year-old added: ‘I was made to scream at the end.

Nicholas said the interview was “strange” and he wished he had been given “a few more minutes” to finish his story.
