The NFL’s Taylor Swift mania has officially spread to Germany as the pop star’s hit “Cruel Summer” is played ahead of her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs’ game against the Dolphins in Frankfurt, but she unfortunately didn’t make the journey to cheer him on.
The song, released in June, was heard by fans on Saturday at Deutsche Bank Park, home of Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
A day before her single was played overseas, Taylor walked the streets of the Big Apple with close friend Selena Gomez and Brittany Mahomes – the wife of the Chiefs’ starting quarterback.
She opted not to travel to Germany to see her boyfriend play as she prepares to tour South America next week.
She will begin performing at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 5, before heading to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to sing at Estadio Nilton Santos – home of Brasiliero Serie A leaders Botafago.

It is widely believed that Travis has plans to join Taylor while she is in South America, when the Chiefs can relax during their bye week (Week 10 of NFL action).
