Travis Kelce has hit back at Ja’Marr Chase for dissing Patrick Mahomes, telling the Bengals wide receiver to be ready to back up his “bold” talk when the two teams take to the field next season.
The star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs provided his two cents on “Pat who?” from Chase. comment this week on his “New Heights” podcasts which he co-hosts with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
“It is what it is, dog. Who doesn’t love a good locker room banter, man? Kelce said. ‘Thanks to Ja’Marr Chase for keeping him on for his QB, but never disrespect Pat Mahomes now.

The discussion between the two AFC rivals began after Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow revealed that in his opinion Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL, after the latter’s race to win a second Super Bowl ring earlier this year.

Chase boldly claimed that Burrow was the best quarterback in the NFL, joking, “Patrick who?”
Additionally, Burrow added that Mahomes will remain the best quarterback in the league until someone passes him.
Given that they are teammates, Chase naturally ranked Burrow at the top of the league’s quarterback rankings.
When reporters told Chase of his teammate’s thoughts, however, the wide receiver said, “Pat who?
“I thought it was a bit daring,” Kelce said. ‘[Mahomes] is a two-time league MVP, two-time Super Bowl MVP. Saying ”Pat who?” is like I don’t know.’
Jason Kelce added that he thought the remark was “a bit disrespectful”.

Burrow had arguably his best season in the NFL after being named the league’s MVP finalist
‘Pat didn’t like it. Mahomes himself tweeted a photo at the Chiefs ring ceremony [June 15] – I’m glad you had fun doing this – wearing those two Super Bowl rings with the statement, “Who’s That,” the eldest Kelce brother said.
Burrow is coming off arguably his best season in the NFL, after being named a league MVP runner-up and earning his first Pro Bowl nomination. The Bengals QB also threw a career-high 35 touchdowns.
Mahomes played in his own league last year, guiding the Chiefs to their second Lombardi Trophy in the past four seasons. He led the NFL in passing yards (5,250), touchdowns (41) and quarterback ratings (77.6).
Mahomes was also named MVP – the second time he won the award – and eventually beat the Bengals after Burrow and Co. won their last three games against the Chiefs.
According to next season’s schedule, the Bengals and Chiefs will face off in Week 17 on December 31.
