Green Bay Packers star center Josh Myers revealed what led him to vomit on a football during Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
At a crucial moment in the game, on a 3rd-and-10, Packers quarterback Malik Willis refused to throw the ball and instead ran it.
When asked by coach Matt LeFleur why he changed the play, Willis revealed that Myers had vomited on the ball before the snap.
When Myers was asked about the embarrassing moment, he told USA Today reporter Ryan Wood: “I felt like I had something stuck in my throat.
“I don’t know if it’s because of the electrolyte drinks we’re taking and stuff, but something got stuck in my throat when I was breathing so hard. I just bent over and, I don’t know, threw up.”

The strange event caused quarterback Malik Willis to call a referee and run.
LaFleur told reporters what happened after the game.
“I asked Malik why he didn’t throw the ball on that third down,” LaFleur began.
“He told me that Josh (Myers) threw up on the ball. I was like, ‘That’s the first time I’ve heard that’… Malik probably didn’t appreciate it.”
The coach added that referee Shawn Hochuli also told him that Myers lost his lunch all over the ball.
Aside from the fact that Myers’ stomach leaked its contents, it was an overall good day for Green Bay, which beat Indianapolis 16-10.
It was Willis’ first full game as a replacement for the injured Jordan Love. Willis didn’t have to throw the ball much, completing just 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.
Green Bay relied heavily on its running game in the win, racking up 261 rushing yards, including 151 for running back Josh Jacobs.
That appears to be the game plan in the coming weeks, with Love aiming to return to the field in Week 5 for NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
It was a good start for Willis, who has only been in the Packers’ system since late August.
Willis has only been with the Packers since being traded to Green Bay on Aug. 26, and LaFleur praised him after the game.
“I had a lot to do,” he said. He told reporters.
“And for him to be able to go out and do what he did today, I think that speaks volumes about who he is as a person and the work that he’s put in; I’m very proud of him.”
