Tennessee Titans safety Jamal Adams will be released by the franchise, according to reports.
Adams, as shared ESPN’s Adam SchefterHe had requested to be released from the team, which he only joined last offseason.
Adams played in just three games for the Titans and was on the field for just 20 total snaps after missing part of training camp with a hip injury.
Adams confirmed to ESPN that he wanted more playing time, although he noted that he was not frustrated by not being a starter.
Meanwhile, the Titans reportedly viewed his lack of practice time as a problem after missing time in training camp.

Adams had extremely limited playing time for the Titans, playing a total of only 20 snaps.
The 29-year-old three-time Pro Bowler is now said to be healthy.
After breaking out as a star safety with the Jets, where he began his career, Adams was traded to the Seahawks, where he earned his most recent Pro Bowl nod in 2020.
However, he has battled injuries since then, as he played in a combined 10 regular season games between 2022 and 2023 in Seattle.
Adams then signed a one-year, $1.292 million contract with the Titans in July.
The Seahawks released him before that in March.
