Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin has revealed that his wife of 34 years is in the early stages of a battle with Alzheimer’s.
Sandy Irvin, 58, has already been battling the disease for five or six years and has difficulty walking, she said. Fort Worth Star Telegram reported on Tuesday.
Despite her limited mobility, Irvin refuses to leave her in a hospital to care for him.
‘If anyone has earned the right to stay in your house it’s MY WIFE!!!’ Michael told the Star-Telegram. ‘I will honor that. No matter what it costs.’
