New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ future remains up in the air as a disastrous season nears its end.
The 41-year-old signal-caller is in the midst of one of the worst full seasons of his NFL career, with much speculation surrounding a possible departure from the Jets.
As for where it could go, there aren’t many immediate suggestions. But NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport believes a team that just made a massive contract move could be interested in his services.
It was announced Friday that the Cleveland Browns would adjust the massive contract they gave controversial quarterback Deshaun Watson.
While the fit is an indicator that Watson will be on the Browns’ roster by 2025, it’s not a sign he could be a starter.
Rapoport believes there could be competition for the job next year, and believes two quarterbacks currently signed to other teams on long-term deals could be in contention.
