For the first time in six years, PSG star Neymar will miss the Rio Carnival and play football in early March.
The Brazilian superstar has always been sidelined early March due to injuries and suspensions, but fans have noticed a pattern in his absence. Neymar’s sister, Rafaella Santos, is celebrating her birthday on March 11 – a date that the former Barcelona man has always mysteriously celebrated, despite being in the business end of the football season.
However, it seems that the 28-year-old will be available for PSG during the carnival for the first time since joining the club.

2019 – Broken metatarsal
In 2015, during his second season in Barcelona after joining Santos, Neymar granted a prohibition for one game due to the accumulation of too many yellow cards. He managed to be sentenced to the same height in the same week, a season later.
In 2017 he had muscle problems that caused him to come out of the action again during his last season with the Catalan giants for his sister’s birthday.
In 2018, after his major money move to the French capital, Neymar had a midfoot fracture, meaning he missed 16 games from the end of February to the end of May.

And last year it was once again midfoot, but this time it was broken. However, that did not stop him from jumping to the carnival and partying the night away in the company of pop stars and friends.
PSG will keep their fingers crossed that the Brazilian will not suffer any other injuries to add to his long list during the samba theme celebrations.
The Ligue 1 champions have a French Cup semi-final against Lyon and a Champions League draw with Dortmund at the time.
