Mark Ronson, the British music producer and songwriter who has an Oscar, seven Grammys and countless hits to his name, will receive this year’s Newport Beach Film Festival’s Outstanding Achievement in Music Award. Most recently, he produced the soundtrack, co-wrote the score, and co-wrote numerous songs (including “I’m Just Ken”) for Greta Gerwigsummer blockbuster Barbie.
The award will be presented on Saturday, October 14, immediately following an afternoon taping with Ronson of a live episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘S Awards Chatter podcast, organized by the undersigned, on the main stage of the festival on Fashion Island in the courtyard of Bloomingdale. Participation is free.

The 24th annual Newport Beach Film Festival runs from October 12 through October 19.
