The MailOnline revealed that Gemma’s engagement ring is worth more than £200,000.

The reality star had been enjoying a five-star stay on the tropical island when Rami decided to propose on the beach after a romantic meal.

Prestige Pawnbrokers gemologist Alexandra Michell of Channel 4’s Posh Pawn estimates Rami spent more than £200,000 on the pear-shaped diamond ring.

She told MailOnline: ‘Gemma Collins’ eye-catching pear-shaped diamond ring made its debut online following the announcement of their engagement.

The expert added: ‘The massive 4-carat diamond is set in a white gold or platinum prong setting and is surrounded by a row of brilliant round diamonds.

‘The band is also adorned with round brilliant diamonds on the shoulders on each side. Pear-shaped diamonds are often associated with love and happiness, as the outline represents a tear of joy. It is also believed to symbolize individuality, glamor and empowerment.

‘This cut has been around for many centuries and the tapered silhouette will elongate the finger, giving the wearer an elegant appearance, whilst maintaining the brilliance of a round brilliant.

“This stunning ring is likely to have had a purchase price of over £200,000.”

Rami had set up an outdoor seating area and had hundreds of roses fly so the petals could cover the sand where they were sitting, with the ring in a shell.

“Rami popped the question again in the Maldives and Gemma had no idea what was going to happen, she was so shocked,” a source said. Sun.

“She’s absolutely thrilled and can’t believe it’s finally happening.” She didn’t know what was happening until a huge platter of cakes appeared and when Gemma started eating her mango dessert, Rami surprised her and said, “look at that.”

‘He had turned on: “Will you marry me?” in the sand.’

Gemma has known Rami for over ten years. She met the businessman in 2011.

Rami had originally proposed to her by placing the ring in a Christmas pudding in 2013 when they started dating.

However, four weeks later, Gemma called off the engagement.

But the couple reunited during lockdown, seven years after breaking off their original engagement.

Gemma revealed in November that she had begun a fertility journey in the hope of having her first child with Rami, who has a six-year-old son from a previous relationship.

The former TOWIE star has suffered three heartbreaking miscarriages and has spoken openly about her difficulties getting pregnant in recent years.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline about her family plans, she revealed that she was pleased to learn that Tana Ramsay had welcomed her sixth child at the age of 49, because it gave her hope that she too would be able to conceive at 40.

She said: ‘The Tana Ramsay news was the best thing to wake up to. Incredible.

“It really made me think positively about my future and took the pressure off.” I don’t think anyone knew she was pregnant, so it was a nice surprise, but I had butterflies in my stomach when I saw it.

‘This is incredible news for me. I will begin my fertility journey in the next few weeks. I’m going to a clinic, so look at these cards and get ready for me, honey.

Also in the interview, Gemma said she was “in no rush” to get married after previously traveling abroad to check out various wedding venues.

When asked about her wedding plans, she said: ‘For me, there’s just no rush! I love J-Lo, she and Ben got married at 50, they were ready to sit down and put on their comfy slippers, so I probably won’t do something like that until I’m a little older.

‘No hurry! You’ve been married for a long time, you’ve been married for a very long time, and I feel like marriage, unfortunately, and it’s sad, is a little old now.

‘When you see people going through divorces and everything that comes with it, you think no! I don’t want that, I can’t stand administration anyway, I couldn’t be bothered to do the paperwork. So I’ll postpone it as long as possible.’

Gemma went on to say that marriage was not a “priority” for her at the moment.

Admitting she hasn’t chosen a wedding venue yet, she continued: “It could be Claridge’s, it could be Italy, who knows!

‘It could be in the middle of the forest, who knows! “I’m calm and happy the way we are right now… It’s just not a priority for me right now.”
