Lorius Karius and his fiancee Diletta Leotta were denied entry when trying to enter one of Berlin’s most famous nightclubs.
The couple, who got engaged in February, were in the German capital as part of a mid-season holiday for the Newcastle goalkeeper.
During their travels, one of the attractions they wanted to visit was the famous Berghain club, known for its sex parties, techno music and a strict entry policy, according to local travel websites.
Unfortunately for the couple, they only got used to the latter as they revealed how they were brutally turned away by bouncers at the door.

Travel websites also confirm that darker clothing will be more likely to get you a clubber’s ticket to Berghain, which is a far cry from what Leotta wore.
However, she argued that it wasn’t just their clothing that got them rejected, as she explained another of Berghain’s peculiar rules.

In addition to its super strict entry policy, Berghain clubgoers are also not allowed to enter with their phones and are asked to hand them over upon entering.

The couple shared photos on Instagram from their stay in the city, with Leotta writing: “Lots of fun, love and beautiful tattoos in Berlin.”
Leotta admitted that their dress that night was one of the likely reasons they were denied entry.
Last month, Leotta asked Karius to leave Newcastle due to the inconvenience of living in the area.
