Newcastle Knights stars Kalyn Ponga and Bradman Best were all smiles as they stepped out on the red carpet at the 2024 Knights Awards with their glamorous partners on Tuesday night.
The Knights’ season ended in heartbreaking fashion with a narrow defeat to the Cowboys in the final, but the team had plenty to celebrate at the club’s awards night, with Dane Gagai taking home three major honours, including the top Player of the Year award.
Superstar fullback Ponga appeared at the event with his new partner Gaby Dunn, shortly after the pair’s romance began.
Dunn, a paramedic, gently kicked off the relationship last week on Instagram by posting a photo of the couple together on a beach.
She’s also been seen at Knights games supporting the talented No. 1, who was at his best against the Cowboys on Saturday night.
Bradman Best was pictured with his glamorous partner Kayla Fenech at the event.
She is the daughter of the greatest Australian boxer of all time, Jeff Fenech.
In July, Fenech revealed his father “went crazy” when he called him to tell him he was dating the Newcastle centre, with the former world champion explaining he had good reason to be.

The new couple looked very much in love in their first public appearance together, shortly after Dunn, a paramedic, made their romance Instagram official.
Bradman Best dated his glamorous partner Kayla Fenech, whose father Jeff is the greatest Australian boxer of all time.
“I always warned my daughters not to date players from the league,” Fenech said.
‘I’ve been around footballers all my life. They’re young and they love to go out and have a good time.
‘So when she called me and told me, I was furious. I told her off. She kept trying to say, “Dad, he’s a lovely boy.” Kayla told me every day how nice he was.
‘Bradman knew he was angry, but he told Kayla, “I will prove your father wrong,” and he has.’
The ring legend and Best are now on good terms, with the two even doing some boxing training together.

Dane Gagai earned three major honors, including the top Player of the Year award at the Knights’ awards ceremony.
Kayla, who met Best through social media, moved to Newcastle to be closer to him.
“He’s a good person, very sensible and he treats me very well,” she said.
‘Simply a good person in every way and with a big heart.
“It’s actually perfect.”
Sadly, Best missed the elimination final against North Queensland due to a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
