Newcastle Knights player Will Pryce has given a sexually charged interview after Saturday night’s impressive debut against the Eels.
Pryce, 21, watched by his father, English great Leon Pryce, scored for Newcastle in the 22nd minute after a volley from Daniel Saifiti in heavy traffic.
“He had his moment, Will Pryce scored on his NRL debut, you can hear the screams from Huddersfield to Bradford and indeed here in Newcastle,” commentator Andrew Voss said.
“What a fantastic moment, Will Pryce, on his debut, his NRL debut, scores a fantastic try,” Greg Alexander responded.
“Wow, he hit that pass at top speed and carried it into the in-goal. The tackle with his legs was good. When he caught the ball, Dylan Brown hit him, but Will Pryce was going so fast that the momentum carried him into the in-goal.
“Your dad must love seeing this in the stands.”
Pryce was interviewed after the game, which the Knights ultimately won 34-26, and was so excited that he dropped a couple of F-bombs during live coverage.
“Honestly, it’s been the hardest 80 minutes of my career so far. I love this place, I love this city, this club, my best friend (Bradman Best),” Pryce said.

An inspired performance from NSW State of Origin halfback Mitchell Moses wasn’t enough for Parramatta to halt their ugly run of form.
Moses showed no signs of relaxing in his return to club duties after inspiring the Blues to a 38-18 victory over Queensland in Melbourne on Wednesday.
The playmaker scored two tries and was involved in two more at McDonald Jones Stadium but could not prevent the Eels suffering a third successive defeat.
The Eels are bottom of the NRL standings with just one win since mid-April.
Pryce was elated after scoring in a game the Knights eventually won 34-26.
“There were opportunities that once again we didn’t take advantage of,” Eels interim coach Trent Barrett said.
“We really weren’t lucky at all.”
