Newborn baby is rescued after being found buried alive with only his foot out of the ground in India

This is the miraculous moment when a newborn baby buried alive in India is rescued by villagers who saw his foot sticking out of the ground.
The boy’s rescuers heard muffled cries when they started digging the ground to build a house in the Sonoura village of Siddharthnagar, in Uttar Pradesh in northern India.
They rushed to the source of the wail and saw a single dusty leg above the ground as they started a frantic race against the clock to dig the baby out of the ground.
Video footage shows a villager trying desperately to locate the baby’s arms before pulling the child up and out of the ground, suffocating his tiny body in dust.
The baby pauses as one of his rescuers checks to see if the boy is breathing.
At this point, the baby miraculously begins to wiggle his arms and legs.

He manages to lift the baby out of the ground with his arms while a cloud of dust swirls around
The baby’s small body is brushed dust-free while his rescuers try to see if he is still alive
After a few tense moments, the baby boy begins to wiggle his arms and legs before rescue workers rush him to the hospital
Villagers quickly took the boy to a nearby hospital where doctors performed tests that found he had swallowed mud that blocked his airway.
Medical personnel treating the baby say that he is in a stable condition, but remains hospitalized under supervision.
It is not known why the baby was buried or how long it was dumped there.
Since then, a local village woman has come forward to adopt the child.
A police case has been filed against an unidentified person in the district and an investigation is ongoing.
