A girl died in hospital after she was found unconscious inside a suburban home.
The three-week-old baby was found in a house in Jones Street in Mighell, near Innisfail, abounds 90 kilometers south of Cairns, around 9.30am on Saturday.
The baby was rushed to hospital after being discovered, but Queensland Police officers said she later died.
“An investigation has been launched and detectives will work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident,” he said.
