A TikToker has become a viral star after documenting all of Bed Bath & Beyond’s discounts and offers as the brand closes its stores.
Ellie Maeda has taken to the video-sharing platform in recent weeks to chronicle developments at the brand’s flagship New York outlet.
The 27-year-old visited the home goods store every day for nearly three weeks to inspect the latest sales.
Boston native Ellie said she wasn’t sure anyone else would be interested in the updates – but she was soon inundated with praise from other social media users who tagged her thanked “for his service”.

Ellie said that in light of the news, her hometown store had already been ransacked, so she decided to check out the Manhattan store.
She posted her first look on TikTok on April 28 in the form of a slideshow to introduce the different departments and respective sales panels.
And she went back there every day, telling Initiated that she typically visits the store at 10 a.m. and walks the aisles for about 15 minutes in what has become a daily ritual.
Ellie admitted that she hadn’t bought anything for herself yet, waiting for the best deal.

She said the only bedding that’s currently 40% off is duvet covers, as she vowed to “manifest” it’s 50% off.
And Ellie’s ideas were showered with praise.
One wrote: “You are my hero, thank you for doing this.”
Another added: “I check your page every hour like ‘Did Ellie post again today?'”
And a third said: ‘You are giving everyone a huge blessing.
Ellie said she plans to continue documenting discounts until the store officially closes.
