The new owner of the Los Angeles home where Matthew Perry lived and died has broken her silence about the $8.55 million purchase.
Sharing images next to the same pool where the actor’s body was found, real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian, 42, gushed about how “excited” she was to share the news, days after it was revealed that I was buying the house.
First admitting that the property has “a history,” she recalled how she and her husband had fallen in love with the home’s “features,” citing “the view of the Pacific Ocean.”
The view can only be experienced in its entirety in the infinity pool where the Friend star was found just over a year ago, face down after a ketamine overdose.
“We knew it was ‘the one’ and decided to write an offer immediately,” she continued, sharing photos from just a few feet away.
“We were very lucky to have our Panditji from Arizona come to the house to do the blessing,” he added, showing clips of the poolside procession.

“We chose to honor the positive aspects of the previous owner’s life,” he continued.
“(He) is an immense talent and all the joy he brought to so many people.”
The lengthy post proceeded to point out how she and her husband planned to keep the swanky Pacific Palisades property pretty much as is, aside from the occasional makeover.
“The decision to buy the house had nothing to do with the previous owner, only with our love,” wrote the woman who has appeared in publications such as Forbes.
‘We plan to retain some of the design elements. The Batman logo in the pool will definitely stay.’
The last statement, capped by a laughing emoji, referred to one of the many instances of Batman imagery present in the 3,500-square-foot home: an ode to his favorite superhero.
Consequently, the comedy star would refer to himself as ‘Mattman’ in social media posts, including the late-night snap. of him inside the pool published on October 23, 2023.
The photo would turn out to be the last, and within five days, the man who made waves as the sarcastic Chandler Bing on the show in the late ’90s and early ’00s was declared dead.

The day before, he wrote alongside a video of the moon: ‘Do you understand what I’m trying to tell you? – I’m Mattman.’
The next day, the 54-year-old posted on X: ‘Let’s make stigmas a stigma. -I’m Mattman #mentalhealth.’
Perry had purchased the four-bedroom home in 2020, before living there for more than three years.
At the time, it cost $6 million, and Verma-Lallian paid a premium four years later.
In his post, he said he plans to use the property as a “vacation home,” as he currently resides in Paradise Valley, a posh mountain town east of Phoenix.
There she runs Camelback Productions, a company she considers the state’s first female-owned and South Asian film production company.
He founded it after a successful time in real estate, which began in 2007 in a leading land banking and residential land development company based in Phoenix, owned by his family.
Verma-Lallian said she plans to use the property as a “vacation home,” praising its pool and view. It was first built in 1965 as a modest ranch-style home.
Perry bought the four-bedroom home in 2020 for $6 million, before living there for more than three years.

Meanwhile, Perry’s death was ruled accidental due to the acute effects of ketamine, days after his last Instagram post was a photo of him enjoying the hot tub where he died with the city lights flashing behind him. .
Contributing factors to his death were drowning and coronary artery disease.
