Dozens of top NYPD cops were fired a week after their former boss was accused of trading sexual favors for overtime.
Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has removed several top officials from the Internal Affairs office, including Deputy Chief Chris Morello, the New York Post information.
It comes after explosive allegations emerged about Chief Jeffrey Maddrey made by his subordinate, Lt. Quathisha Epps, who accused him of predatory sexual behavior.
The head of Internal Affairs, Miguel Iglesias, was expelled the same day the complaint came to light.
But documents reviewed by the Post further reveal that Inspector Joseph Profeta, who was head of the IAB group dedicated to investigating allegations against NYPD captains and superiors, was relocated to Patrol Borough Brooklyn North.
Meanwhile, IAB Special Operations Inspector Michael Ricciardi has been deployed to Patrol Borough Manhattan North.
Another 12 IAB officers, ranging in rank from lieutenants to sergeants, were also sent to distant patrol areas.
Five detectives inside Maddrey’s office and one police officer were kicked out of Maddrey’s office and sent on tours of residential neighborhoods, according to the orders.

Deputy Chief Chris Morello is among those pushed out of the Internal Affairs Office amid the fallout from Epps’ allegations.
“Tisch is serious,” a high-ranking source told the outlet. “She’s cleaning up the mess and getting the department back on track.”
The house-cleaning comes in the wake of explosive allegations from Epps, who claimed he had been given overtime totaling $400,000 in exchange for sordid sexual favors.
“He would always ask me to kiss his penis,” she said, adding that the demands allegedly included sex at NYPD headquarters.
Epps and his attorney Eric Sanders said they planned to file a notice of claim with the city comptroller outlining their allegations.
She had worked for Maddrey as she rose through the ranks of the force, from Chief of Housing to Chief of Patrol.
She said his sexual demands began in June 2023, when he got the top position as Head of Department.
Epps added that Maddrey knew he was having financial problems and allegedly used this to his advantage.

Epps claimed that she and Maddrey had sex ten times after their initial interaction. Maddrey started being generous with overtime a few years later, he said.
According to her, while she was trying to get away from him, the people who earned the most overtime were excluded from a list.
On Monday, it was revealed that he had earned more than $400,000 in fiscal year 2024, which included $204,000 in overtime for a total of 1,626 hours for the year.
She applied for retirement after being caught for eye-watering sums and was later suspended.
Maddrey’s attorney, Larry Lambrous, denied all allegations on his client’s behalf and said he was not authorized to sign overtime.
Maddrey has claimed she had a “consensual, adult” relationship with Epps and denied any coercion.
But Epps’ lawyer responded by saying: “This clown is a fucking disgrace.” We have a treasure trove of digital data that will hopefully bring this degenerate to justice.’
