The former law enforcement officer said he visited Asylum while working “undercover” around the time Phil disappeared and detailed why he believed the bar was a secret hangout for people who identified as vampires.

Hellen explained that she does not drink blood, but some people who practice vampirism do, usually from voluntary donors.

He said that “the sun makes him nauseous,” but denied the old rumor that garlic can kill a vampire.

“Lifestyle vampires admire aesthetics. They might like vampire movies or the writer Anne Rice, and they might have a pair of prosthetic fangs or wear Victorian outfits to nightclubs,” he said.

‘But at the end of the day, they know they’re no different from anyone else because they don’t eat.

‘Real vampires, on the other hand, believe that their physical, mental and emotional health will deteriorate if they do not feed, whether on blood or energy.’
