A young mother tragically died while heroically saving her baby’s life during a deadly terrorist attack near Tel Aviv, Israeli officials confirmed Wednesday. Inbar Segev-Vigder, 33, was shot dead while protecting her nine-month-old son, Ari, from two terrorists who rampaged through Jaffa, a city in central Israel.
“One of the victims of yesterday’s terrorist attack in Tel Aviv, Inbar Segev-Vigder, was murdered while protecting her nine-month-old son Ari,” the official State of Israel account shared on social media. “She saved his life. There are no words. “Just heartbreak.”
Segev-Vigder was one of seven people killed in the attack, in which two Palestinian terrorists opened fire and stabbed victims at a train station on Tuesday night. The terrorists struck just minutes before Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles into Israeli territory, following the assassination last week of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other senior officials of the terrorist group.

The scene of the attack was littered with blood-soaked bodies of victims, some inside the light rail car, others on the ground nearby.
Segev-Vigder, a personal trainer and Pilates instructor, leaves behind her husband and son. Another victim identified was Shahar Goldman, 30, a professional dancer who had just gotten married last year. Other victims were Revital Bronstein, 24, Nadia Sokolenko, 40, and Ilia Nozadze, 42. The name of the seventh victim had not been made public at the time of the murder. report.
According to Israeli police, at least 16 other people were injured in the attack. Authorities confirmed that the two attackers, both from the Israeli-occupied West Bank city of Hebron, were shot dead by security guards and armed civilians.
While the men had not been arrested previously, one of them had previously been involved in a demonstration that caused public order disruptions. The attack has left the community reeling, as tributes pour in for Segev-Vigder and the other victims, who were caught in a senseless act of violence.
