A man from New Jersey accused of the death of a 19-year-old woman is said to have told the police that she became unconscious while choking her during rough sex.
Michael T. Gaffney, 21, and Francis Victoria Garcia, 19, reportedly attended a loud Halloween party on the 14th floor of a high-rise in Hackensack, New Jersey, on Friday night.
Garcia was found dead in a car parked in a free-standing parking lot of the building on Saturday at 2:00 am after doctors ran to the scene after a call from 911.
Gaffney, from Maywood, New Jersey, was accused of reckless manslaughter Saturday after an autopsy involving the death of Garcia, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, as & # 39; compression injuries to her neck, & # 39; officials said.
The 21-year-old told officials that they had about 20 minutes of sex before he put his hands around her neck. Allegedly she subsequently lost consciousness, according to NJ.com, stating the likely cause of a certified statement.
Gaffney told the police that he had contacted a friend in the neighborhood to say that Garcia was not breathing who came to the car and said her lips had turned purple.

Garcia was later found dead in a car parked on the top floor near the tall building.
It was not immediately clear whether Garcia and Gaffney knew each other before or whether they had just met at the party.
However, Gaffney later told police that the couple knew each other through mutual friends and had met at four o'clock in the afternoon before leaving for the party, according to the statement.
Gaffney would also have told the police that they had taken prescription medication prior to the incident.
