The FBI has released new photographs of the New Orleans terrorist taken just an hour before he crashed his car into a New Year’s crowd and massacred 14 people.
Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar wreaked havoc on celebrations in the early hours of Wednesday morning when he drove down busy Bourboun Street targeting pedestrians.
Now, police have shared two new images of him wearing a brown coat at 2:03 a.m. CST while walking down Dauphine Street.
Under the coat, he has a dark-colored button-down shirt, blue jeans, and dress shoes.
Detectives hope the new photos will rekindle memories of people who were in the area, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Jabbar appears much older and more worn out in the new images, with graying hair and a beard to match.
He wears glasses and holds what appears to be a phone in his hand as he walks through the streets.
The FBI also released images of a cooler full of improvised explosive devices that they say was placed by Jabbar near the intersection of Bourbon and Orleans streets.

He had an ISIS flag flying on the rented truck he used and had separately planted “remote detonator” explosives in refrigerators he had strategically placed in the French Quarter.
President Joe Biden held a press conference Thursday in which he revealed that Jabbar had acted alone in the New Orleans terrorist attack.
But federal agents are still working to explore any potential links between Jabbar and Matthew Livelsberger, who detonated his own explosives outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas hours later.
The 37-year-old reportedly has a military background and served on the same base as Shamsud Din Jabbar (pictured), who fatally ran over 15 people in a rental car in New Orleans in the early hours of New Year’s Day .
They both served on the same military base and also served in Afghanistan in 2009; However, officials say they have seen no evidence that they were in the same providence or unit.
Jabbar reportedly made a series of videos before his death in which he revealed that he had plotted to kill his family and described how ISIS had radicalized him.
His brother told the New York Times that he was a loving man. Abdur Jabbar, 24, of Beaumont, Texas, told the outlet: “(He was) really a sweetheart, a good guy, a friend, very smart and caring.”
He said his brother had converted to Islam at a young age and that “what he did does not represent Islam.” “It is more about some kind of radicalization, not religion.”
