Cam Newton marked his ESPN debut with a risqué joke on Friday, becoming the latest person to mock Shannon Sharpe’s accidental sex tape from last month.
Sharpe shocked fans when he and a woman he called Michelle could be heard (but not seen) in the clip having sex on social media before the broadcast ended.
And while on First Take, Newton, ESPN’s newest addition, took a swipe at Sharpe as they and Stephen A. Smith discussed the “five essentials of homecoming” at HBCUs.
Newton said the parties deserved to be mentioned as a highlight of the homecoming, before Sharpe stepped in and said: “I’m worried about something else, but we can’t say that.”
Newton then responded, “Careful, Michelle,” before the former Panthers quarterback burst out laughing.

Presenter Christine Williamson then stepped in to stop the X-rated discussion there as Sharpe and Smith walked off screen.
This is far from the first time Sharpe has been mocked by a colleague for his accidental sexual transmission.
Earlier on First Take, Sharpe, Smith and Domonique Foxworth were talking about Panthers quarterback Bryce Young being benched when Sharpe said, “If you give me three months, Stephen A., and my hips hold up, I could play two or three games at tight end for him.
Foxworth, a former NFL cornerback, immediately responded, “I think your hips are fine.”
Newton, who was previously a quarterback for the Carolina Panthers, recently joined ESPN
Sharpe initially claimed that his Instagram account was hacked before admitting that was not true.
Chad Johnson also gave Sharpe some hilarious bedroom advice, while the likes of Snoop Dogg and Kai Cenat made jokes at his expense afterwards.
Sharpe initially claimed he was hacked when the video was posted, but quickly admitted it was him.
“I feel embarrassed for several reasons,” he later said on his ‘Nightcap’ podcast.
