A man is in the hospital after being shot four times on a suburban street.
Police were called to Winston Hills, in Sydney’s west, about 10.50pm on Wednesday after reports of a shooting.
Officers found a man had been shot four times in various parts of his body when they arrived at Dale Place.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 28-year-old man at the scene.
He was then taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
The 28-year-old remains under police guard in the hospital.
The crime scene was established and specialist forensic police set out to examine the scene.

Shortly after, a Jeep Grand Cherokee was found on fire in Northmead.
Officers were also called to Redbank Road in Northmead following reports of a car fire at around 11pm on Wednesday.
Officers found a Jeep Grand Cherokee truck running.
Despite the efforts of Fire & Rescue NSW, the car was destroyed.
A second crime scene was established and the vehicle was seized for forensic examination.
The investigation continues and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
