Jake Paul’s postponed fight with Mike Tyson has been rescheduled for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The next fight was originally scheduled for July 20 until Tyson, 57, suffered a medical emergency on a cross-country flight. The highly anticipated rematch between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will also take place at the Dallas Cowboys’ home field on November 15.

“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly,” Tyson said in a statement. “I am grateful to the medical staff who have already treated me (Most Valuable Promotions), Netflix and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best rescheduling date for all parties.

“Even if we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight,” he added. ‘Jake Paul is getting knocked out. On Friday, November 15, watch in person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.”

The rescheduled date comes as a surprise following speculation that the fight would be cancelled. Sports Illustrated reporter Chris Mannix reported that there was “genuine concern” about whether Tyson will ever be able to fight Paul following his mysterious medical emergency.

‘Mike Tyson is 57 years old; He’s almost 58 years old,” Mannix told ‘The Rich Eisen’ about the former heavyweight champion’s medical problems. ‘They say it’s a minor ulcer problem, but I don’t think anything is minor at that stage of your life,’ especially when it comes to getting in the right shape to fight a professional boxing match.

According to a previous statement from MVP, Paul’s promotion, tickets will be honored for the new date and anyone unable to attend will be entitled to a refund.

The ulcer outbreak reported by Tyson occurred aboard an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday, May 26 – oblige flight staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board to provide assistance.

Tyson said he was “doing very well” in recovery, but was clearly not in good enough health to attend the fight scheduled for July 20.

The fight, originally scheduled for July 20, will be Netflix's last sporting event.

Of course, he’s not exactly facing heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Paul, a natural cruiserweight, is 9-1 in the ring. And that record is diminished by his disappointing opponents, including former NBA star Nate Robinson and converted MMA fighters like Tyron Woodley and Nate Diaz.

Against natural boxers, Paul is just 2-1, including his 2023 loss to Tommy Fury.

Paul was hoping to legitimize himself by fighting Tyson, but that will be a tough sell to the boxing public.

Not only did Tyson retire in 2005, he went 1-3 in his last four fights, including ugly losses to middle heavyweights like Kevin McBride and Danny Williams.
