Donald Trump issued a defiant statement after shots were fired at his golf course near West Palm Beach while he was present, vowing to never give up.
“There were shots fired near my house, but before the rumors start to get out of hand, I wanted you to hear this first: I am safe and sound,” he wrote in an alert sent by his team on Sunday.
“Nothing will stop me. I will never give up,” the candidate continued, months after surviving another assassination attempt in which he was shot in the ear.

“Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again. God Bless,” he wrote in farewell, sharing a photo of his face as his signature signature.
The feds have since confirmed the incident was a failed assassination attempt.

Meanwhile, a man was reportedly arrested, although it is not yet known whether he was responsible for the shooting.
No Secret Service members were injured and police said the shooting occurred shortly before 2 p.m.
The person detained by federal agents at the scene was said to have a “calm demeanor,” but has not been identified.
The nature of the shooting, as a result, remains unknown, and members of the Secret Service were seen firing at the suspect, who was said to be a few holes ahead of the group Trump was part of.
A long gun was reportedly recovered from the scene and sources briefed on the matter said officials believe Trump was the intended target.
It is not known whether the person arrested even fired any shots, although initial reports only indicated that Secret Service agents shot the suspect.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s Department vehicles were stationed outside Trump International Golf Club on Sunday after gunshots were reported in the vicinity of where the former president was playing golf.
The confrontation took place in a forest near the golf club, authorities said.
As reports of the shooting circulated, Vice President Kamala Harris issued her own response on X.
“I have been made aware of reports of shots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida,” the brief statement read.
“I’m glad he’s safe. Violence has no place in America.”
Meanwhile, Trump returned to the club, authorities said, before confirming that he had already left the premises. The presidential candidate was rushed off the golf course when shots rang out.
Members of the Secret Service are said to have seen the individual now in custody in connection with the case, likely avoiding victims.
He was seen holding an assault weapon that some said looked like an AK-47, although that remains to be seen.
The FBI arrived at the scene and called the incident an “attempted murder.”

The investigation, like the latest after the failed attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, will likely yield answers.
