Netflix star Damson Idris has issued a grim warning to anyone who wants to dress up as his famous character for Halloween this year.
The actor had his breakout role playing Franklin Saint, an ambitious drug dealer in the hit show Snowfall.
However, she took to social media to warn film fans about replicating her look as she revealed the extremes she went to during filming.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday, the actor, 33, confessed that during the TV show Snowfall he did not maintain his personal hygiene.
He shared: ‘To everyone who will dress up as an alcoholic Franklin tomorrow. I didn’t shower or brush my teeth when we filmed, so you know… go hard or go home.’

The actor took to X to warn his fans that he had taken extreme measures while filming the TV show Snowfall and did not recommend anyone follow his example.
The series followed Franklin and his crime family as they try to find ways to make money selling crack cocaine in 1980s Los Angeles during the crack epidemic.
Damson was praised for his role on the show, which became one of FX’s highest-rated shows and earned top scores on Rotten Tomatoes (90 percent on the Tomatometer and audience score).
The first season of Snowfall, set in 1983, when America was on the brink of the crack epidemic, interweaves the stories of several characters whose lives will soon collide due to drugs.
The final season of the series is set in October 1986 and follows a civil war that threatens to wipe out the Saint family.
However, when Damson’s character became a favorite around Halloween, the actor was quick to warn his followers.
The confession generated surprise among fans, who wanted to be able to ‘unlearn’ that information.
Commenting below the post, fans wrote: ‘It makes sense that it seemed so real, it traumatized me’; ‘I know coworkers HATED seeing you coming’; ‘Damn, dedicated as hell to the role’; ‘Now you could have kept this to yourself; ‘Lmao, how do I unlearn this fun fact?’
Damson’s confession shocked fans, with some wishing they could “unlearn” that information.
Damson previously confirmed that Jay-Z helped him obtain a green card to work in the United States on the FX drama Snowfall.
The London native spoke to Complex about how the rap mogul was a reference in his application for the ID, which grants a person permanent residency in the US.
Since her breakout role, Damson’s career has flourished.
Born in Peckham, south-east London, to Nigerian parents, Damson Idris broke into the business with several roles on British television, including Miranda (2013), Doctors (2015) and Casualty (2015).
