Netflix has quietly increased its prices in Australia.

All customers will be affected, regardless of the subscription plan you have.

Viewers with a standard subscription will see their rates increase to $7.99 per month from $6.99 per month, while those with an ad-free standard subscription will now pay $18.99 per month, an increase of $2.

Australians with a premium subscription will see their monthly price increase from $22.99 to $25.99 a month.

The premium plan allows viewers to watch Netflix on four devices at once.

Subscribers will be notified 30 days before their next billing cycle and Netflix began broadcasting the bad news starting May 13.

A Netflix spokesperson said: “We offer a variety of prices and plans to meet a wide range of needs, and as we offer more value to our members, we occasionally ask them to pay a little more.”

“We’re adjusting pricing in Australia with plans starting at $7.99 AUD.”
